Christmas Fun

If you are getting in the mood for Christmas with a month to go, or would like to, how about a Christmas countdown app? Sleeps to Christmas 2 looks like the shot below and updates live. You can play a choice of Christmas music - or none - and have options of how to display the time too! There are lots of similar apps to this (see here for another) so you can take your pick.

While we are considering Christmas apps, there are lots of apps with Christmas carols in them, Christmas word quizzes, Christmas wallpapers for your iPad - basically all sorts ranging from seasonal kitsch to fun. Most of them are free so contain advertising but might be worth a light-hearted look. There are even apps to help you manage your Christmas list, mail your Christmas cards (69p - I got this one it looked like it would make life easy), and, if you have got small children, there is an app to help you get photos of Santa in your house, tell Christmas jokes, and track Santa as he goes around the globe.

If you are really strapped for time, Touchnote (is an iPhone app that works on your iPad and) will print and send Christmas cards for you using your own photographs as the image, or, as my family have done for the past couple of years, create and post Christmas thank you cards with photos from Christmas day on them.

Enjoy the Christmas build-up!
